LYTE IMPROV! Workshops focus on developing our own show. Join us as we start the first day to create our own show out of our own ideas. This program is flexible to allow for seasoned veterans and new-comers alike to learn to contribute and develop ideas together. These sessions end in a show which features the best of our all-original material performed by our entire cast! Everybody has a part to play! Together, we all learn the values of teamwork, trust and friendship. Most of all, we get to have a whole lot of fun doing it ... TOGETHER!

LYTE Pit Bulls Orchestra Workshops is designed to teach young musicians how to play with the best of the best. Founded in 1999, the Pit Bulls Orchestra has been featured in many musical shows on eastern Long Island. We are made up of talented musicians of all ages, young and old as we strive to outplay original Broadway orchestras. This unique program is designed for younger musicians (of at least level 2 NYSSMA ability or its equivalent) as a perfect learning environment to develop more skill and quality in an orchestral setting. All instruments are welcome! Some percussion and keyboard instruments will be provided. Session ends with performance of some marvelous music and a smile on everyone's face!

LYTE Variety Show Workshops combine all of the elements of IMPROV! with additional elements of song, dance and other talents as we embark on the journey of piecing together our own Variety Show from start to finish. Whatever your talent may (or may not) be, there's always room in our cast for everyone and a part for everyone to play! With the guidance of our professional and knowledgeable staff, our acts are completely written and performed by all participants! Session ends in performance of some of the best original material ever written! (At least we think so)...

LYTE Musical Theater Workshops allow both experienced and beginning students to develop confidence while learning acting and stage movement skills. Students express themselves through creative improvisation, monologues, and original skits, as well as costume and set design. LYTErs experience the excitement of producing a musical  for family and friends. No experience necessary (we'll provide that) and no auditions are required ... There's room for everyone in our cast! Each session ends with performance of a famous Broadway show complete with lights, fancy moves and snappy music!

LYTE Variety Show / Pit Bulls / Musical Theater Workshop (MVP Combination) is the ultimate musical & theater activity. Participants can choose either to be in the Pit Bulls Orchestra or the Variety Show Workshop AND be in the Musical Theater Workshop, too! This program allows our young people to experience full days of fun and enrichment as well as more performance opportunities at the conclusion of each session!

All workshop classes are open to all children from all communities, grades K-12, and are held at Yaphank Presbyterian Community Center, 65 Main Street in Yaphank. Check schedule regularly for any changes. Fundraising opportunities always available.
